Gwadar
Gwadar, being an integral part of CPEC makes it cardinal for the entire project. Gwadar port has become fully operational, since Chinese cargo began to transport its shipments overland, last year. Sea port in Gwadar, will be linked with Pakistan, China and Central Asia helping in reduction of transportation cost in the region. Kashgar, which is 5100 kilometers away from Shanghai Port will now be 3000 kilometers away from Gwadar.
Gwadar’s development is progressing exactly as planned under the Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan. Infrastructural projects like, ports, roads, telecommunication, power and water supply have been designed to meet, future needs and provide state of the art business experience to all investors.
All international business will prefer Gwadar being a deep-seaport and having a shorter sea access.

Modern transportation networks built under CPEC will link seaports in Gwadar and Karachi with northern Pakistan. A 1100-kilometre-long motorway will be built between the cities of Karachi and Lahore while Karakoram Highway from Hasan Abdal to the Chinese border will be completely overhauled.

The Karachi–Peshawar main railway line will be upgraded to allow for train travel at up to 160 km per hour. Pakistan’s railway network will also be extended to eventually connect to China’s Southern Xinjiang Railway in Kashgar
